戦争はジェンダーと深いかかわりをもっている。男性が女子供を「保護する」という家父長制的なジェンダー秩序は、暴力の導火線のように機能することで、戦争に適した状態をつくりあげてきた。この意味で、ジェンダーは、戦争を引き起こす原因としてある。
